Best excursions and hiking trails in Ibiza
Ibiza is the perfect destination to visit any time of the year and appreciate its incredible natural beauty. We  want to give you 7 excursion ideas with different levels so you can get to know the wonderful corners of the island.

Portinatx Lighthouse

From the beach of Portixol in Portinatx, north of Ibiza, follow the path to the right that runs along the coast without taking any of the detours into the interior and you will reach the Moscaster Lighthouse, better known as Portinatx Lighthouse. It is a simple and flat walk with which you will enjoy beautiful views of the sea and the islets of Ses Formigues.

Sa Talaia

In San José, very close to Cala d’Hort, is the highest point of the island of Ibiza: the mountain of Sa Talaia, with 475 meters of height. You can start the route from the Church of San José, going up the street of Sa Talaia, which leads to a dirt road that will take you to a path through which you will enter the forest. Continue following the directions on the way.

San Antonio to Cala Salada

Start walking from the end of the port of San Antonio, where you will find a trail that goes along the Bay with views of the islet of Sa Conillera. After passing the famous bars known as “Sunset Strip”, the favorite place for many tourists to watch the sun go down, you will reach Caló des Moro beach. Go ahead and after passing the Aquarium of Cap Blanc in the Cueva de las Langostas, you will reach Cala Gració and, a little later, Cala Gracioneta. Further along, always following the coast, you will reach Cala Salada, Sa Foradada and Cap Nono, and a little further on you will also find the rocky cove of Punta Galera.

Ibiza defense towers

There are 7 defense towers located in different points of the coast of Ibiza and all allow a beautiful walk to them enjoying spectacular views of the sea. You can get to know the Tower of Portinatx, the Tower of Balansat (near the Port of San Miguel), the Torre d’en Valls (near San Carlos, in front of Tagomago), the Torre d’en Rovira (in San Antonio) , the Torre des Savinar (in Cala d’Hort, one of the most beautiful and famous for its views of Es Vedrà), the Tower of Ses Portes (between the beaches of Salinas and Es Cavallet) and the Torre des Carregador (at the end from Playa d’en Bossa).

Santa Eulalia River

The only Balearic river allows a very pleasant walk from the Interpretation Center Can Planetes, passing through the Pont Vell until you reach the mouth of the river on the beach. You can also take advantage and climb up to the Puig de Missa in Santa Eulalia and enjoy the beautiful views and several museums.

Pla de Corona

This is one of the most typical paths of the island at the end of winter or in spring, when the numerous almond trees in the area are in bloom. It is a very simple route that begins in the village of Santa Inés.

Cala Aubarca

From San Mateo, a peculiar town in the north of the island, there is a great path to the nearby Cala Aubarca, one of the most rugged, beautiful and least known coves in Ibiza.
